In this modern world, the use of technology like washing machine makes the washing smarter. But still, it creates a lot of obstacles to the natural ecosystem. The major issue in using traditional washing machine is that it takes up approximately 100 litres of water to clean up a teaspoon of dirt. In addition, we use varieties of detergents and fabric softeners to clean up the clothes. The ingredients of these detergents are the major cause of water pollution because it contains phosphate salts and are non-biodegradable. When this wastewater ends up in the water bodies, it affects the environment.
In order to deal with these two issues, a water-less washing machine has been developed by the 80 wash team and was under the testing progress. This machine addresses these issues by consuming only some milliliters of water and with no detergent.
This machine works on the principle of a patented ISP steam technology that kills the bacteria based on the radio-frequency microwave creates. The operating procedure is that Microwaves generally have the capability to kill germs and viruses as they produce radio-frequency waves. Also, these waves cause water molecules to vibrate which in turn causes friction followed by increase in temperature that actually kills the microorganisms. Secondly, this technique applies the dry steam with low moisture at room temperature for the effective removal of stains, dirt and odour.
